Introduction
Healthy skin is a result of overall health condition of individuals. The role of herb is to purify the skin and eliminate vitiated doshas (vitiated humours) from the body as they are mainly responsible for skin disorders and other diseases.

This is the root cause behind any of our problems. Poor and hybrid dietary habits and sedentary lifestyle cause poor health, stress and hypertension. Biological clocks are not been followed for eating , sleeping. This uneven timing causes disturbance in body functioning as the body follows its natural procedure. So this creates digestion problems along with many other problems and skin diseases are on the top of that list.

Due to poor diet, body suffers from nutritional loss. Lack of various essential nutrients like vitamin A, B1, D, and E, weakens various major body parts like liver, heart and brain. Even absence of required amount of fat in the body causes dryness of skin problems.

Unhealthy lifestyle disturbs gastric functions inside the body due to which acid and toxin levels start increasing in blood making it acidic and impure. This hampers the pure and oxygenated blood supply to the skin and other organs which in turn causes many skin problems like acne, eczema, blemishes etc.

Disturbed lifestyle and dietary habits lead to various major health diseases like obesity, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis,, piles, asthma, that affects the whole body system. Skin is also a body part and even a major part, so how can it be left untouched from diseases.

At that time, one must not immediately rush to skin specialist or chemical prone medication as it adversely affects the skin. It is the natural procedure. Natural beauty treatment
"Ubtan" is a paste made from nuts or flour to which other ingredients such as oil and spices are added. This can be applied to the face, upper body or the entire body.
# Whole body Ubtan massage
11/2 tsf Mustard oil
4 tbsp Chickpea (Besan) flour1 tsp turmeric powder
Mix ingredients into thick paste adding as much water as neccessary.
# Ubtan for glowing smooth skin
11/2 tsp Mustard/ or Almond oil
4 tbsp Chickpea flour
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp fenugreek powder
# Ubtan for Pimples
11/2 tsp Chironjee nut paste
11/2 tsp dried orange peel powder
11/2 tsp coconut oil
1 tbsp Wheat germ oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp, chickpea flour
Pinch of organic camphor powder
Apply this paste directly to the pimples
# Facial Ubtan
1 tbsp Almond paste
1 tbsp Cashew paste
11/2 tsp pistachio paste
1 tbsp malai (milk cream)
1 tbsp wheat germ oil
1 tbsp Rose water
1/4 cup red lentil paste (Soak lentil over night and prepare paste)
Chickpea flour to thicken
Soak Almonds, Cashew, and shelled Pistachio seperately in water to cover over night. In the morning remove the skin of the almonds. Using a mortar and pestle. Make the paste of each nut. Mix all the ingredients until they have the consistency of yogurt. To thicken add a chickpea flour.
# Ubtan to cleanse the face and reduce wrinkles
1 Lemon juice
1 tbsp Wheat germ oil
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
Combine the lemon juice and wheat germ oil. Add flour until a paste forms a consistency of yogurt.
Hundred times washed ghee (Shata Dhout Ghruta)
Traditional Ayurvedic Skin Cream
It is completely natural and chemical free, very useful for achieving radiant and glowing skin. Shata Dhout Ghruta is prepared from organic ghee (made from cow's milk) by washing it repeatedly 100 times using specific method prescribed in Ayurveda. This process transforms the ghee into a soft, cooling , nourishing, silky cream. To enhance the effect, herbal powders (churanas) of Palash, Vata,Udumber and Ashwatha are added to it.
Recommended use : It is an excellent astringent, moisturizer, anti wrinkle and cleansing cream. This can be used as a daily moisturizer on the face (or whole body) or for facial massage. Also, has calming effect on reddish or burned skin and on eczema and rosacea. For external use only.
Ayurvedic beauty tips for your face
To clean the skin and pores use raw milk or the milk that has not been boiled before. Raw milk helps remove unseen dirt and impurities from the face as well as the pores of the skin. It also adds a subtle glow and act as a natural moisturizer. Use raw milk with a cotton ball to gently cleanse your skin. You may even mix a little lemon juice with raw milk for this purpose.
To acquire a smooth complexion use orange juice or dried orange rind powder. Applying fresh orange juice to your face on a daily basis will help bring about an improvement in the texture of your skin as well as the skin tone. This fruit is rich in Vitamin C which enables our body to fight ageing. It also act as a good skin toner, especially for oily skin.
Th control acne, make a paste using 1 tsp of each sandalwood powder and turmeric with water. Apply on your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes, followed by rinsing off with lukewarm water. Do this daily.

Once dry, wash off with lukewarm water. Aloe vera cannot exactly cure acne but it has amazing anti inflammatory properties, thus helping to reduce the swelling and redness of pimple and acne.
Pigmentation
To reduce pigmentation, blemishes and dark spots, use commonly available potato. Potato is a very good natural skin lightener and one of the best Ayurvedic remedies for glowing face. Rub a slice of raw potato, daily on your skin to lighten pigmentation, blemishes and dark spots. Alternatively, onion, lime or cucumber juice may be used for the same purpose.
